The "illegals"

Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa says we should charge employers with felonies for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. Sen. Ron Gould, R-Lake Havasu City agrees with this bill and advocates another bill that would prohibit state agencies from accepting foreign ID cards as proof of identification. Republican putos love to invent new ways to discriminate against Mexicans. When crime goes up in America, who gets blamed? When the stock market begins to slide because of mass home foreclosure, who gets blamed? When Saudi Arabian martyrs fly planes into The World Trade Center, who gets blamed? That's right Mexicans. All the people screaming about sealing the borders aren't worried about ragheads and they are not worried about the Canadian border. Hell, the terrorists came in legally and the ones who didn't snuck in through Canada. You would think that after 9/11 we would see propaganda advocating the expulsion of middle easterners but of course not. When we were attacked, every Mexican I knew paused when we heard the news, looked at each other and said, "fuckin arabs", then went back to work. The Mexican kept working while you weak bitches were crying on national tv. Everybody knows who is responsible for the attack, The Bush Family and The Bin Laden Family. These two families have been doing business together for years and now they are fighting and using the poor uneducated masses to do the dirty work. I'm not scared of terrorists, I am scared of racist cops wanting to lock me up for minor offenses and taking away my individual freedoms. I'm scared of racist politicians drafting new laws to keep another generation of Chicanos in poverty and incarcerated. It's only a matter of time before Chicano organizations such as LULAC, La Raza and MeCHA are demonized and classified as terrorist groups. The Bush family is waging illegal wars all over the planet and they have the audacity to call us the "Illegals".

Iconoclasm for the Masses

All authority figures must be replaced. Humans on this planet are clueless, but some claim to have the answers. No one has the answers and anyone claiming to have the answers is a false prophet and must be told to shut the fuck up. The first step in reclaiming what is ours in the 21st century is to discard the old bullshit, the old rules and the dogma must go and it starts with our preconceived notions of what is right or wrong. The only knowledge we have is what our parents, grandparents and teachers gave us. Up until now it seems that they fucked things up pretty good in the last couple hundred years. It's all wrong. Wars and global warming, famines and genocide. It is very difficult to think of how things will be if we continue on this same course. It's also difficult to discard the so called wisdom that was given to us from the elders, but believe me, it is necessary and within our reach. There doesn't seem to be anything that we can do to make things worse other than to do nothing, so I'll take my chances and try to lean towards the opposite of what I was taught.
Everything we think is right? Our minds are clear? Shit, I can't even find my keys in the morning. No matter how sick and twisted my mind is, it is still MY Mind and no one can take that away from me, at least not without a lot of Thorazine and American Idol. When I watch the news, I do only with disdain and question everything. When you watch a video on You Tube or a documentary on The Discovery Channel, do you believe it all? When you sit in class listening to the all wise and all powerful teacher or professor, do so with an investigative eye. Put simply, don't believe a fucking thing you hear or see. With all the propaganda and brainwashing we encounter we have to search endlessly for truth. Make up your own mind. Use your creativity and create a vision for yourself and your own reality. Modern technology has made our senses harder to trust. Computer generated images and virtual reality will make this even more difficult in the future. We must develop this cynicism now to prepare for the "Virtual World ".
Rules were meant to be broken. I bet you've heard that before. If you break a rule or law, what happens to you? You get punished. Drive your car too fast and get a speeding ticket, do a little insider trading - go to jail, sell some drugs - go to jail longer. In the world of physics, all the great innovations came from "Breaking Laws". Should we have thrown Einstein and Oppenheimer in prison? Their "Laws" resulted in the mass murder of innocent Japanese lives when we bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima. My point in all this is that everyone has their own idea of what should be right or wrong. Morals and standards are what modern society depends on. One mans hero is another mans villain. Where do we look for guidance? Who do we consult to find the moral high ground in our society? Is religion the answer? If you take a short glimpse at what religion has done to our world, you can see that only judgment and warfare has resulted in our blind trust of these greedy and corrupt institutions.
Religion is not easily discarded because of the inherit superstitious nature of the human being. In every culture around the world we see some kind of idol worship. I grew up hearing stories of the face of Jesus Christ showing up on tortillas and blankets. Others believe in the Mothership coming to rescue the believers. As crazy as this sounds, there are millions of people who believe that this is true. Even the atheist has a religion - science. No matter what religion you belong to, most modern humans believe in science and the promises that are made to us for the future by this secular institution. Aids and Cancer are safe in the hands of scientists, right? Intel promises supercomputer calculability in the size of a single chip, holograghic video games and infinite knowledge at the blink of an eye. I can speak for the average American consumer in saying that I love this stuff and can't wait for the next generation of lo-cost high-tech gadgetry but This "faith" in technology comes natural to most of us. We don't even consider it faith, just mad consumerism which in itself could be considered a religion. So the next time you find yourself praying........ ask yourself who's at the other end of your prayers? Financial institutions and marketing executives - Papal figures and military divisions? Sex, Violence and cutting edge information technology meet in the 21st century to create new multi-dimensional universes within cyberspace that we can all lose ourselves in and explore. Television is dead, radio is dead, the Compact Disc is dead. All "one-way" communicative media are dead. The here and now is all about interactive media and the personalization it brings to the entertainment world. After all, isn't entertainment kind of a religion too?
